“Nascemos por onde caminhamos”

A proposta para ocupar o jardim do Museu Oscar Niemeyer passa por uma declaração sobre a vida a partir da passagem do tempo. Uma caminhada evoca o espaço em contínuo movimento pela subversão da arquitetura como objeto construído para uma arquitetura como trajeto em transformação. É a partir da caminhada que plantas brotam, nascem, morrem e renascem.

A caminhada surge a partir de um percurso elevado do solo, conectando o museu e o jardim adjacente a ele. Ela ora se relaciona ao canônico Museu de Oscar Niemeyer em Curitiba, ora se desconecta, levando tanto a bifurcações, espaços expositivos, espaços contemplativos, ou a caminhos sem saída. Diferente de um jardim de veredas que se bifurcam, onde o passante se vê entre muros de heras num labirinto sem fim, aqui, por outro lado, o jardim é o próprio caminho. Não há labirinto, mas possíveis direções em aberto. Não há só caminhos, mas possíveis lugares de erupção da paisagem. Os caminhos se sobrepõem a percursos existentes, levando para outras possíveis obras no jardim, ao mesmo tempo que constroem relações em aberto entre as obras expostas, fertilizadas por esses atravessamentos.

O percurso será construído a partir de módulos de piso em concreto pré-fabricado, de 2.40 m x 2.40 m, partindo das dimensões dos projetados por Oscar Niemeyer para o MON. No entanto, ao invés de puramente um módulo de concreto, a proposta se põe a reconstruir o piso original a partir de uma mistura de sementes e plantas adicionadas ao agregado convencional de cimento, areia, brita e água. Posicionados em uma das entradas do museu, serão um convite ao entrar e sair, e em uma relação mimética com o piso existente, constroem uma relação entre o dentro e o fora, passado e presente, matéria e ser vivo.

Fertilizar o solo do museu é apresentar um outro caminho à sua modernidade, talvez tão passageiro quanto estável, tão contínuo quanto breve, até a própria natureza plantada encontrar na caminhada seu próprio solo fértil. A arquitetura será apenas vestígio de uma intenção que apaga a sua própria existência apresentando a partir dela uma outra forma de nascer da caminhada. Se nascemos onde caminhamos, é olhando para o chão que aprendemos à caminhar.

“We are born where we walk”

The proposal to occupy the Oscar Niemeyer Museum garden involves a statement about life from the passage of time. A walk evokes space in continuous movement through the subversion of architecture as a built object to architecture as a journey in transformation. It is from the walk that plants sprout, are born, die and are reborn.

The walk arises from an elevated ground path, connecting the museum and the garden adjacent to it. Sometimes At times, it is related to the canonical Museum of Oscar Niemeyer in Curitiba, at times it is disconnected, leading either to bifurcations, exhibition spaces, contemplative spaces, or dead ends. Unlike a garden with forking paths, where the passer-by finds himself between walls of ivy in an endless labyrinth, here, on the other hand, the garden is the path itself. There is no maze, but possible open directions. There are not only paths, but possible places of eruption of the landscape. The paths overlap existing paths, leading to other possible works in the garden, while building open relationships between the exhibited works, fertilized by these crossings.

The route will be built from prefabricated concrete floor modules measuring 2.40 m x 2.40 m, based on the dimensions of those designed by Oscar Niemeyer for MON. However, instead of purely a concrete module, the proposal sets out to rebuild the original floor from a mixture of seeds and plants added to the conventional aggregate of cement, sand, gravel and water. Positioned at one of the museum’s entrances, they will be an invitation to enter and exit, and in a mimetic relationship with the existing floor, they build a relationship between inside and outside, past and present, matter and living being.

To fertilize the soil of the museum is to present another path to its modernity, perhaps as fleeting as it is stable, as continuous as it is brief, until planted nature itself finds its own fertile soil in the walk. The architecture will be just a vestige of an intention that erases its own existence, presenting from it another way of being born from the walk. If we are born where we walk, it is by looking at the ground that we learn to walk.
