FORMAS DE VOLTAR PARA CASA

Em uma paisagem desenhada por altas e volumosas copas de árvores, um caminho percorre sinuosamente o chão. Em uma de suas curvas, 14 escoras de madeira estruturam levemente um simples apoio, suportando, uma mais leve ainda, cobertura. Apoiando-se em forma de tripé,  essas escoras desenham dois pórticos, nos quais tensionam-se cabos de aço – equilibrados pelo visível peso de 4 peças em concreto.

Em sua cobertura, um leve tecido flutua sobre o chão, tocando gentilmente essa estrutura, criando nada mais do que uma sombra. Estruturada com diferentes aberturas, de um lado há um convite a adentrar, e do outro uma abertura à paisagem. A escolha dos materiais reflete a intenção de sublinhar e comentar sobre uma certa simplicidade, porque não também precariedade, fazendo com que a instalação seja, essencialmente, uma espécie de abrigo – tecendo assim uma crítica ao contexto que a circunda.

A instalação marca uma pausa na paisagem, ao mesmo tempo que a questiona, impulsionando a imaginação de quem a percorre. Se pauta no que a circunda, lendo camadas escondidas desse contexto, e as manifestando por meio de um olhar arquitetônico atento e sensível – demonstrando respeito pela paisagem que pertence e transforma, estabelecendo sempre um diálogo – buscando formas de voltar para casa.

WAYS OF GOING HOME

In a landscape defined by tall and voluminous treetops, a path winds across the ground. In one of its curves, 14 wooden props lightly structure a simple support, holding up an even lighter coverage. Supporting themselves in the form of a tripod, these props design two porticos, on which steel cables are tensioned – balanced by the visible weight of 4 concrete pieces.

In its covering, a light fabric floats over the floor, gently touching this structure, creating nothing more than a shadow. Structured with different openings, on one side there is an invitation to enter, and on the other an opening to the landscape. The choice of materials reflects the intention to underline and comment on a certain simplicity, and also maybe precariousness, making the installation essentially a kind of shelter – thus weaving a critique of the context that surrounds it.

The installation marks a pause in the landscape, while at the same time it questions it, boosting the imagination of those who travel through. It is guided by what surrounds it, reading hidden layers of this context, and manifesting them through an attentive and sensitive architectural look, showing respect for the landscape that belongs and transforms, always establishing a dialogue - looking for ways of going home.
